According to NPCI's official data, PhonePe is the most popular UPI app in India, with Google Pay trailing closely behind. In March 2025, PhonePe handled 8,647.78 million transactions totaling Rs. 12,57,075.54 crore. In the same month, Google Pay handled 6,596.76 million transactions totaling Rs. 8,66,568.18 crore.
